Grow your surgical career with us as a Veterinary Surgeon

This is a fantastic 3-month surgical-focused opportunity at Margate Pet Hospital, ideal for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to further develop their surgical skills and gain exposure to a busy and rewarding caseload. You'll work alongside an experienced clinical team in a well-equipped hospital that sees a high surgical caseload, giving you the opportunity to build confidence and broaden your experience.

We carry out a wide range of surgical procedures in-house, with plenty of exposure to emergency and complex surgery. You'll enjoy a varied clinical caseload across soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, dentistry, ophthalmology, dermatology and medicine, with opportunities to develop your skills and confidence every day.

About you

We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys surgery and managing a varied caseload, while making a real difference to pets and owners who need our support.

To be successful, you'll:

  • Be MRCVS registered.
  • Have experience delivering high-quality patient and client care.
  • Take a pragmatic, welfare-focused approach to clinical decision-making.
  • Be confident working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Be computer literate and comfortable using clinical systems.
  • Ideally have 12 months' UK small animal practice experience.

This role is particularly suited to vets looking to enhance their surgical capabilities, gain hands-on experience with a diverse caseload, and immerse themselves in a supportive hospital environment for a fixed-term development opportunity.
